About the Role
The Lead Contract Management (Engineering/Construction Services) role contributes to our MMG-KHOEMACAU COPPER MININGand is a key business support unit that works closely and collaboratively with our global assets. The team is focused on procurement and managing contract activities related to engineering and construction services, with a particular focus on auditing Bills of Quantities (BOQ), settlement processes, and sourcing from low-cost countries (LCCs), such as China. This role ensures cost-effective procurement, compliance with contractual obligations, and alignment with project objectives while maintaining quality and audit standards.

Requirements
• Strong analytical and auditing skills, particularly in BOQ preparation, auditing, and settlement processes.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities to identify discrepancies and manage risks.
• Project management and organizational skills to align procurement activities with engineering and construction project timelines.
• Understanding of legal and regulatory requirements related to procurement and contracts in China and Botswana.
• Ability to report status of discipline over multiple projects efficiently to executive management.
• Lead the procurement efforts for the complete capital program.
• Able to deliver a value-add service to the projects.
• Comply with Safety and Quality Assurance adherence according to MMG specifications.
• Vendor assessments (Financial) and Vendor Performance Management.
• Cultural awareness and adaptability to work effectively with suppliers in LCCs.
The role requires degree in Engineering, Purchasing or Supply Chain.
